What a gem! This tearoom goes to the top of our list. The setting is in the kitchen of an historic mansion. The room is very pretty and cozy. The owner greeted us warmly, and said at the start that we should take our time and relax. We ordered the High Tea, which comes with soup (Cream of Chicken Noodle-absolutely perfect!) and salad. Our 3 tiers of courses included two blueberry scones and cheese biscuit each, still warm from the oven. Sandwiches were a delicious chicken salad on a croissant, turkey on raisin bread with a cranberry spread, and cucumber with cream cheese on a bagette slice. All excellent! The sweets included a cute and tasty mini red velvet cupcake, a raspberry cheescake square and a fantastic sweet potato tart. Besides wonderful food, I think this tearoom stands out because of the attention to detail. You can tell that the owner utilizes her treasures. When asked for water we were given a glass pitcher of ice water containing a few slices of cucumber, poured into cut glass punch bowl cups. Clever and refreshing! The tearoom offers a nice selection of items to buy, including the best Earl Grey loose tea. In all ways, this is a delightful place to enjoy. And deserving of repeat business!
