As part of our trip to The Carolina's and Georgia, my husband and I traveled from Washington State to experience the joys of taking tea at The Potted Geramium. I had read about the tea house in Teatime Magazine shortly before leaving on vacation to the area. We adjusted previous plans to include The Potted Geranium. The miles traveled were well worth it because it was one of the most delightful experiences of our trip. The atmosphere was both inviting and calming with peaceful music playing softly in the background. We enjoyed The Dutchess of Bedford tea which was absolutely amazing from first bite to last. The Quiche melted in our mouths with our taste buds bursting with delicious flavors. The salad with fresh field greens, cranberries, pecans and goat cheese was refreshing and unbelievably wonderful! The selection of teas was very extensive and delightful. There were so many selections that it took time to narrow down our choices. Then to our utter delight, the three tiered server was brought to our table filled with an array of delicious finger sandwiches, the best currant scones, and utterly delightful desserts! This was a feast for our eyes as well as our taste buds. It is overwhelmingly obvious that the emphasis is on excellence at The Potted Geranium. It is a 'must see' if you are anywhere within driving (or flying) distance. This was a highlight of our trip and our heartfelt thanks to owner Laura Kanitra and executive chef Rebecca Wells! Your superb attention to each and every detail is greatly appreciated! Thank you for such a memorable experience!
