What a nice spot for lunch or afternoon tea! The historic downtown location is charming, it's nice to be able to get 3-tier afternoon tea service as a walk-in with no reservation. When I was there, it was pleasantly busy with no unused tables, yet the staff served everyone delicious food & tea in a timely fashion. A local gem of a tea room!

This is a pretty and comfortable tea room with extraordinarily friendly service. The proprietors are knowledgeable about tea, and several unique and delicious whole leaf teas are provided in all categories: black, green, white, oolong, decaffeinated, and rooibus. The 3-tiered china tea stand was filled during my visit with delectable tea sandwiches (chicken salad, cucumber, and roast beef), fruit, and freshly homemade pastries that melted oh-so-deliciously in my mouth. Preceding the tea tray was a teacup of French onion soup and the highlight of the meal: a hot-from-the-oven cream scone. In tea rooms with less talent in the kitchen, this could have been bland and boring. But not here! It was large and warm with a wonderfully light & moist texture, and liberally dusted with finely granulated sugar. Even though I adore lemon curd, I only used it for one bite, savoring the unadorned and delicately flavored scone as it was. Rebekah and Darlene provide lucky Birmingham patrons with superb and ever-changing food selections, quality loose-leaf teas, friendly service, beautifully appointed tea tables, and an ambience of comfortably elegant surroundings where jeans can be won as comfortably as the fanciest of red hats and pretty dresses. It's well worth the trip to Mt. Laurel!

This new tearoom is wildly popular with Huntsville residents. And for good reason! The food is delicious and there is a wide selection of teas. All of this is presented beautifully on fine china in a chamring location in the historic Five Points district. Emma's serves both lunch and, with advance reservations for parties of at least 4, an elegant afternoon tea. They have it all: great food, extensive selection of teas, beautiful location, and friendly service.
