The Picket Fence & Garden Tearoom
The gals in our family gather annually for high tea for the holidays and decided to try a new place this year. We had to give a $50 non refundable deposit. We experienced a family emergency out of state, my brother is on hospice. I gave the tea house 10 days notice of the cancellation and requested to speak to the owner about the situation but she would not return to my phone calls, nor my mother's. We are aware of what non refundable means however I had hoped to explain the situation and reschedule the event. Again she refused to take the call or return the call. Terrible businesswoman who must think because she has a uniquie place of business in Haddonfield she doesn't need to courteous to her potential patrons.
Tearoom response:
The policy was noted . We do understand there are circumstances. We were never told that they were going to reschedule at all. They were welcomed to. As to the owner not responding she was not around at the time of the incident. There was a situtation that the owner was attending to. She would have responded right away. We are sorry for the inconvience but if the guest would have said that we might have been able to help out.
