High Tea Cottage
My wife and I visited this establishment over the holiday period. The tearoom was very full and despite the amount of work the staff had, we were greeted as if we were family. The ladies serving us (pleasantly mature) put us at our ease, the large menu and huge tea options were explained to our satisfaction and my wife's initial selection of tea was amended by subtly pointed out that there were better tasting teas available. The food was very fresh, having been prepared after we had ordered, and tasty. The tea was very good and we were both surprised how much we drank We had a very pleasant afternoon and we both thought that the check was very reasonable, given the quality (and quantity) of the food we ate and the very fine (and matching) antique china we had. As we had come on the recommendation of a friend (thanks Fred) we came away very impressed. Even the City car park at the end of the block was only a 3 minute walk. Highly recommended.
