High Tea Cottage
I took my 8 yr oold daughter for a 'Mad hatters Tea Party' at the High Tea Cottage a few weeks ago after missing out in the earlier shows during the year. We had a ball. The characters (mainly professional actors) really went to town for everyone there. Kylie's favorite character was the Queen of Hearts (played by the owner of the tea house). The table was literally full of food and we managed to stuff ourselves so full we didn't eat until Monday morning. Plenty to drink and the desserts, well. Speaking for myself I really liked the little pies which are imported from Australia. After the food we played games which allowed both the children and adults to play and I think I can still hear the laughter echoing in my brain. After the party we all trooped outside (after parading past the other people in the cottage) for a foto shoot, with all the characters in full costume posing with everyone. A really great way to spend an afternoon, next time I will need to get in earlier.
