Tea Upon Chatsworth
I've been coming to Tea Upon Chatsworth for a little over a year and each visit proves to be better than the last. I've been to a few of the other tea establishments here in San Diego and they don't measure up to the authentic experience and ambience that Joy conveys in her quaint tea shop. For example, I was recently at a tea shop in La Mesa with a couple of friends. Although the tea sandwiches, sconces and pastries had great flavors they were on the heavy side, not the delicate, light flavors associated with finger foods for an afternoon or high tea. Another notable observation we had was when one of my friends had asked for a little honey, we were mortified to see our server bring her honey packaged in 'KFC' packets! Coming to Tea Upon Chatsworth is an experience worth the visit, the delicious teas, sandwiches, soups, scones and cakes pair very beautifully with the true experience of afternoon or high tea. I encourage everyone to take time out of their busy lives, to come to Tea Upon Chatsworth, relish the relaxed, unhurried atmosphere and savor the delicious treats. You will definitely leave not only feeling satiated and satisfied, but surprisingly, well rested as if you've taken a little mini-vacation to another world.
