British Emporium
My mom and I had a really lovely tea here today. Tea is served in a nicely decorated room adjacent to the merchandise room (which has all sorts of imported British foods and tea paraphernalia). The two women working there were extremely friendly. The ambiance was great -- nice classical music playing, pretty floral china, little authentic British touches everywhere. The Devon cream and the fabulous lemon curd (for the scones) were our favorite parts -- mmmmm. The sandwiches were nicely presented (egg and cress; salmon; cheese and tomato), and the 'biscuits' were a fun assortment of British imports (all of which you could buy packaged in the adjacent shop. We would DEFINITELY go back. Highly recommended!
