Victoria Rose Cottage....wow. Simply wow. I went there last night for Valentines Day. I never have felt more warmth from a restaurant. It was so romantic, simply like walking into a romantic dream. During the meal our server was more then gracious and the food was INPECABLE, everyone ate every bit on their plate (and we all almost popped at the amount of it too). I cannot believe that it is in Clovis and is affordable. I felt the comfort of being at home there, and I didn't really want to leave. I looked in the gift shop at all their unique Victorian items. They also sell their gourmet teas! They have so many different varieties from Rose teas to caramel to chocolate! I never thought chocolate tea would be good, but their chocolate raspberry truffle is now my favorite! We also got a traditional tea (Darjeeling) and we were told that the leaves were vintage top notch, of the highest quality. It is as if their tea selection just as unique and intricate as wine would be to a wine lover. When it was about time to leave, it actually made me feel a bit sad! It seemed the whole table was stalling with their wine and tea, just to savor in the atmosphere for as long as we all could. Upon leaving, I know I will be back, many a time. Melissa
