Two A Tea
Are all of these reviewers friends of the owner? I am amazed at the good reviews! I have been to this tea house three times. The first time was right after they opened and the service was unorganized. The second time I brought my nine year old daughter in for our yearly 'back to school tea' together. The service was still slow and unfriendly. The sandwiches were stale, and the desserts were obviously store bought. The third and definitely last time I went, I was going to meet friends for tea, and mistakenly thought they had said we were to meet at this tea house. I walked in, in the middle of a busy afternoon, and the owner was standing there in sweat pants. I asked her if she has a reservation for my group, and she proceeded to sit down on the stairs, tell me how tired she was because she had to get up early to do the baking, and yelled upstairs to her husband to ask if he had taken the reservation. It turns out I was supposed to be at the Enchanted Rose in San Dimas. This was some of the tackiest behaviors I have seen! This tea house is filled with antiques that never seem to sell because of the amount of dust on them, it is very cluttered, including an empty bakery refridgerator display case wedged into the entry. Of the many tea rooms I have visited, this is the worst.
