I have been to Amelia's Teas & Holly twice this month now; once for my birthday with my sister treating and once for our wedding anniversary with my husband. These were our first visits to this wonderful Victorian establishment. Our chairs were so comfortable and relaxing, and the atmosphere so calming that we didn't want to leave. The loose leaf teas and the presentation of sandwiches and treats were truly outstanding. Pots of tea were very large and the Winter Mint and Winter Palace Marzipan teas were steeped perfectly. I wound up buying both on our way home. They were out of this world. Six varieties of generous and well-filled tea sandwiches were served, one more delicious than the next. The cranberry orange scones and tea breads served with clotted cream and jam were divine as were the sweet tea treats. A large, fresh orange wedge and pineapple chunks were also served. We thought the tomato basil soup was the best and creamiest we've ever tasted, and the vegetable and spinach quiches were absolutely wonderful. Everything is homemade and you can taste it. Our server was a lovely woman named Gemma. She was very friendly and accommodating, and you could tell that she really enjoys working there. We have left other tearooms still feeling hungry...not so here! We have decided to frequent Amelia's as our only tearoom in the future for its wonderful and delicious food, great ambiance, comfortable seating, calming atmosphere, and friendly staff. It was also a pleasure speaking with Bonnie, one of the two sisters who own Amelia's.
