    We were looking forward to our visit, reservations for a party of 6 (high tea) Atmosphere was great! The food that required more effort was flawless and very tasty, the mini eclaires were *fabulous* (I will come back for those), lemon curd was perfect. Tea was excellent, so many kinds! Everyone was very agreeable to their selections, but would have liked a refill on their pot. I had the Assam which was excellent. Great descriptions of the tea on the menu. The Cinnamon Sibu was highly complimented by all. The Sencha Kyoto Cherry Rose smelled heavenly. Service attention was lacking by staff and our tea refilling wasn't offered or questioned until we were leaving. I didn't even know they offered unlimited flavor choices with the reserved tea service! We were actually told we could change our choice if we did not like what was brought to us but that was all (by our server) Water was given 40 minutes after our arrival and was sadly asked for many times. Carine was very thoughtful and brought water refills, something her staff should have thought to do. I wish more attention had been paid to our drinks (we aren't complainers, but empty cups speak for themselves) Was a little disappointed in quantity of food for each person. Scones were a teensy bit over done on the bottom but plentiful. Fresh fruit for the high tea consisted of one piece of cantaloupe and a strawberry per person. The strawberries had seen better days, and looked like thawed-day-before berries. I think we would have liked to try the tasty looking meals, salads, and desserts singularly instead of with the high tea option upon table comparison and inspection. Maybe next trip! Will try again. The great tea they offer would be complimented by more attentive servers.

    I am so sorry for the poor service, I have new summer staff and are still training. But thanks anyway for bringing it to my attention.

    What concerns the 'strawberries', we NEVER EVER use frozen fruit and if the berries seemed to ripe, please let us know so we can replace immediately. I will accommodate anything a customer requests, no matter what it is, but we need to be aware of the situation.

    I truly thank you for your review and I hope you come back to try more of our delicious foods, you will not regret!!
