Tea with Friends
This was the first tea I have ever been to. I didn't know what to expect, but when I arrived at the shower I was in total awe! Everything was so fancy and elegant (I actually felt a wave of giddiness and excitemtnt). When the tea began our server, Stephanie, brought us water then pampered us with hot towels for our hands. Then we had a choice of 3 teas, I choose the Vanilla initially, but then swiched to the Queens Tea. The scones were wonderful. The ones I have had in the past at coffee places, etc. (I won't mention any names) have been so dry and hard. These were soft a melted in your mouth. They served the scones with jam, lemon curd and a cream type spread. The cream spread was wonderful on them. After the scones they brought us tieres of sandwiches and hot finger foods. My favorites were the Chicken Salad and Radish (YES Radish!) Up intil now a radish was a yucky thing my mother made me eat. The Artichoke Toasts were great too. Dessert was presented beautifully. We had a Strawberry Napoleon thing. Layers of pastry, fresh strawberries, whipp cream, you cannot go wrong! After all that food, it was a perfect ending. This was one of the best showers that I have been to in a long time. It was fun to be with the mother to be and share wisdom with her, yet still be able to sit back and enjoy great food and conversation! This was a great new experience, I am excited about trying this again!
