I am hoping that Linde Lane will be a huge sucess and will be around for a long time. The day my friend and I went was a rainy Sunday, and I was surprised that we were one of only three tables being served. Our experience was very positive though. We had the Royal Tea which includes everything. The tea selection was large, the food was very tasty and the presentation was nice. I have never eaten a better scone in any other tea room, except maybe in England. I was surprised to see crusts on the sandwiches, but they were delicious anyway. I thought the tables could use a votive candle since the inside is rather dark and it would have added a nice little glow to our surroundings. Our small salads were a bit wilted, but, all in all it was a lovely experience and I hope I will always have this tea room nearby to share with friends.
We,too, hope to be here for a long time! I would like to comment about the crusts on the bread. We do know the traditional tea sandwich is crustless. We believe the crust should stay on to conserve waste. The owner supports many organizations, including shelters for the homeless, and can't bring herself to support the wastefullness of food. If, however, you would like the crusts removed, please inform your server next time, and we would be more then happy to accomodate you.
