The Sunrise Landing Garden Club enjoyed their recent elegantly served tea and tour of the Promont and we would rate EVERYTHING about our visit with highest marks. The lovely china, silver and crystal invited us to linger under a glistened chandelier while marveling at all the detailed beauty of the dining room. The serving of delicate tea sandwiches with the fine touch of a cluster of mint, rosemary and tea roses, tender and warm scones with clotted cream, fruit and sweets served with delicious hot peach tea, served in delicate vintage cups, made our luncheon a one-of-a-kind experience. Mary Ann, Tea Coordinator, was personable and helpful from the first contact to the last goodbye seeing that every detail was to our liking. Her gracious manner added so much to the atmosphere and you could sense that she takes pride and pleasure in every detail. Sue's interesting tour of the home was mixed with just the right dose of humor. She was knowledgeable in regard to the various time periods and the families that had once called The Promont 'home'. The experience brought alive a glimpse from the past, and we left with a renewed appreciation for the history that is being preserved in the home and also for the volunteer efforts of the Milford Historical Society and the dedication in preserving it's valuable history and memory.
