The Picket Fence & Garden Tearoom
A group of 9 ladies wanted to have an afternoon tea for our friend who had recently had a baby. We were told in a rather snooty manner that they would prefer that we did not bring in any gifts. The tea sampler was overpriced for the tiny little tea sandwiches you got. You would leave and still be hungry. (The chicken waldorf salad was excellent and a good portion). Each of us got our own pot of tea. The differences in size was unacceptable. I got 3 cups out of mine and my friend got approximately 7 cups out of hers. The scones were right out of a plastic container like the ones you find at Sam's. They were not fresh tasting either. The atmospere was sort of 'fakish'. It was no so cozy and comfortable as one would expect. The store in the front was wonderful though. Overall, I would not care to return.
