  • The Roswell Teahouse

My girlfriends and I visited the Roswell Teahouse because our favorite tearoom aka, 'Vintage Tea' had recently closed. I called ahead and made a reservation for three for afternoon tea. When I arrived the lady at the front asked me three times if I had a made a reservation for afternoon tea. After I had been seated I was again asked if I had made a reservation for afternoon tea. It seems there must have been some communication issues. My girlfriends arrived and we began our afternoon tea. The food was okay. The pastry selection was okay. There was no food item that stood out as outstanding. The decor was simple yet cozy. The tea selection was very good. We were content with the attentive service and the food/tea selection until we discovered that we had no honey for our tea. We asked our server for honey and we were presented with (smuckers) to-go honey packets that you get when you visit IHOP and you get your pancake breakfast to go. Needless to say we accepted the honey packets in shock. All the tearooms that I have been always served their honey, milk, sugar, clotted cream, lemon curd in actual glass/china containers etc. The honey packets showed a definite lack of attention to details. Overall, the Roswell Tearoom provided us with a pleasant experience but closer attention should be paid to the small details. My girlfriends and I intend to return soon to see if the small details have been upgraded. Overall, a good experience.

    Tearoom response:

    Dear Safiya,

it seems very odd to hear about the honey, because we serve our honey in glass bottles for the last 3 years, which we also sell in the front(local honey by the Bee Factory in Marietta).
