The English Rose Tea Room and Gifts
Unfortunately, I was not allowed the experience of trying anything at the English Rose, although I thought I wanted to. It was a drizzly Saturday morning, and I was in the neighborhood running my Saturday-morning errands. I tried to stop in, decidedly not dressed for the occasion, but my purpose was to inquire about making a reservation for my mother's visit the next weekend. I was not permitted to step foot within the premises (I seriously didn't even get the door fully open), but was ushered to the sidewalk as though someone was afraid that my no-makeup-and-blue-jean cooties might contaminate the empty tea room. I did not appreciate being treated like an uncouth version of Eliza Doolittle, so my money and myself will be going elsewhere.
