I was compel to leave this review due to the loving care and time that Julie Faye made especially for me and my 4 sisters and my daughter for our 2nd annual Sisters Reunion this April 2011. The place itself was lovely in a Victorian flair setting. The decorations and atmosphere along took us all back to a time of peaceful serenity and gave us a chance to pretend in having tea in time time era. All the tea sets and plating, napkins, sandwich, scones, dessert holders was equally beautiful as the table and chair setting. The tea filters and its own little own bowls to sit in, the hats and tea gifts, cards and teapot sets was a addition plus. Everything was something to remember, but the must memorable treats we ate was cheese biscuits, blueberry scones and my o my that broccoli soup have me wanting to come back for more. Oh my goodness I forgot the sandwiches and desserts!!! We ate cucumber sandwiches and croissants with chicken salad and the specially the full of raisin bread with lettuce and smoked turkey. The dessert was also memorable mini deep dark chocolate cupcakes, cheesecakes squares, and sweet potatoes tarts. All in all we have a lovely time, and to also have a chance to see her parents in an old nostalgic picture helped her place to feel the shared in their lovely daughter tea palace was also sweet addition. My family felt the family vibe and share each flavorful pot of tea was special to me. Julie also share where we was sitting in her tea-house was right in front of the 'Underground Railroad' which made the visit even more exciting for me and my family as well. Harriet Tubman is one of my favorite female historians. I will be back again Julia with some other special friends also known as my adoptive family.(smiles) see you soon in near future. THANKS from the BARBER!! for a wonderful experience.
