The English Rose Tea Room and Gifts
I have been to many tearooms and while the staff is wonderful and accommodating(my mother wanted coffee)I found the food to be lacking. one of our savories included a small cup of trail mix.The sandwiches are tasty enough but the sweets did not all taste homemade. I had read such wonderful reviews about the decadence of the brownies.they were okay but nothing any better than i have made out of a box.All in all it is a lovely place to have tea and I'm sure we will come back.

August Tea Room
We had reservations for tea for my mothers 89th birthday. Unfortunately my mother became ill.August tea room was so very gracious and welcomed us when I confirmed our reservation and that only my granddaughter and I would be attending. The entire tea was so wonderfully tasty. Our menu included strawberries with champagne(sparkling cider for my granddaughter)fresh cream of asparagus soup,several varieties of very delectable dainty tea sandwiches, and delightful sweets.Our teapots were never empty. My grandaughter loved the heart shaped sugar cubes, and felt like a little princess.Every attempt was made to ensure our enjoyment. The tea room is beautiful and there are many touches that I have not encountered at other tea rooms such as the warm tea towels to cleanse our hands before the start of the tea. This will definately be on my list of favorite places.Many thanks to their staff for a wonderful time.
