Serenity Tearoom & Fine Dining
My mother and I went to Serenity tea room on a Friday, May 12th. We had a very enjoyable experience. There were many hot teas offered as well as iced tea. I chose the iced tea. It was a bit on the sweet side, but still tasty. My mother chose hot tea. After she finished her first pot, Blanche offered more and my mother chose a different variety of hot tea. This was a nice opportunity for my mother to try a different tea...and not at an extra charge. We chose the Traditional Afternoon Tea selection and were very satisfied with the assortment of items. The scones were especially delicious. I just wish there was more jam and clotted cream (not sure it was the real deal, but a close rendition) offered. While we dined, there was a group of women (8-10) who were in the same room as us and it was quite loud...just an fyi for people who would like a quite tea experience. You may want to check with Blanche before you make a reservation about possible large parties dining at the same time as you. The dining room is fairly small, but there is an outside terrace available for dining as well. I would recommnd this Tearoom and be sure to wander around the shops in Frederick...it's a very cute town.
