I hosted my daughters Bridal High Tea on Sat. 4/23/16. Itwas absolutely beautiful. We had 20 in attendance. We started in the formal dining room to toast the bride. Fresh flowers were placed on the table with a sterling silver punch bowl for us to use. We then went into the parlor where the tables were beautifully decorated with vintage linens, and china. Again the centerpieces were of fresh flowers. The bride and her bridesmaids were placed at a table in the front of the room. The other tables were placed so to have plenty of room to walk around and visit. The chairs had bows or chair covers on them. The food was fabulous! Mary Ann gave me lots of things to pick from when we were in the planning stages. First there was fruit , then finger sandwiches, scones with cream (they were wonderful) and the last was the dessert. You could put 3 of each on your plate and if you wanted more they would serve extras. The tea was ginger peach which tasted wonderful.. We were never rushed and had plenty of time for gifts and visiting. Sue gave us a very informative tour of the house. My 7 year old granddaughter learned so much from the tour. All the ladies are so knowledgeable and fantastic at making everyone feel welcome. I definitely recommend the Promont House for anyone planning a special gathering. It is absolutely beautiful!
