High Tea Cottage
These reviews say it all but I had to add my own 5 stars! I've had tea in Paris and London and the remarkable Empress Hotel and still this modest little tea room in Woodland Hills made us glad we stayed close to home today. I have never had so much attention given to the aroma of the teas and now I know what a difference it makes to sniff those fragrant leaves before the brew arrives. The delicious sandwiches had a delightful layering of flavor and the jam cart was a tantalizing surprise that made our oven-fresh scones even more yummy (and definitely one of the best scones I've EVER tasted-- the jam and cream elevated their fresh flavor). Gracious, comfortable, cozy, memorable. If you live in the area, head straight for High Tea Cottage...if you don't, plan a trip soon!
