Lady Bedford's Tea Parlour
Tucked away in the Village of Pinehurst is a gem...it is Lady Bedford's Tea Parlour. My first visit was for the tea. However, once I entered the front door, I knew I was in for a wonderful 'teatime experience' which I associate with great tea (of course), savory treats, warmth, coziness, nostalgia, friendship, civility, graciousness, ...all things good. I was right! I was in for a treat and so much more. Marian, the owner and creator of this wonderful tea parlour, hasn't overlooked any details. The ambience in the parlour transports one upon entering. Lovely furniture pieces, art on the walls featuring local artists, music, beautifully set tables all meld to enhance your teatime. The food is outstanding. (The quiche and scones are my favorite.) Since that first visit, I have been to Lady Bedford's several times. I go whenever I visit Pinehurst. Now, I go to Lady Bedford's not just for the taking of tea; I go for the tea, the food, and the company of friends.
