Tea Upon Chatsworth
I have been here twice and thought that the tea was excellent and the food was good, but the price was a bit much. Both times we had high tea. The portions are tiny. It was cute and I know it's tea, but come on, on our dessert tray, for the fruit part, we each got half a strawberry. On our second visit, we had finished our sandwiches and were told that we can have more if we would like since it was the last sitting, but when we asked for more, the server said that we could not have them anymore because a couple of her 'regulars' just walked in unexpectedly and were given the other sandwiches. How hard is it to make another sandwich and cut it into fours. Considering we had reservations and were paying an exorbitant amt., we felt unimportant and felt that the owner and our server did not seem to care about us since we did not come as often as her other customers. Tea room could do so much better if the owner didn't cater to just her regulars. I also recommend reservations, we saw people walking in, and even though it was slow and there was no one else in the tea room, they were turned away. I'm assuming it was because the owner doesn't have enough sense to plan ahead or make allowances for walk ins.
