Tea Upon Chatsworth
I've had the pleasure of having three separate visits to the beautiful Tea Upon Chatsworth. My first time there was an afternoon tea with my Mom who was visiting from Chicago. She was enchanted with the place and we had a great time. The second, a bridal shower for my best friend couldn't have been more lovely. We had a small party of about 12 ladies and Joy worked with me to make sure everything went off flawlessly. We even had a separate table for presents & cakes. The teas are always hot & ready (my favorite is the Paris) and the menu changes every month and is always delicious. The tea room is decorated with beautiful tea cups and saucers, fresh flowers and other assorted tea related items. Place settings & tea pots are mismatched for a quaint touch and the linens are all vintage with lace & embroidery. For my third event, I planned an themed tea party to celebrate Marie Antoinette's birthday for the San Diego Costumer's Guild. Everyone attended in their best 18th century finery and it was a joy (no pun intended!) to be there. After resolving a mixup on my part - I miscounted the number of RSVPs to Joy, who quickly and efficiently rearranged tables & settings to make room for everyone - the afternoon went off without a hitch. Everyone told me they had a lovely time and would come back to Tea Upon Chatsworth again. And so would I - if only I still lived in California.
