Tea On The Tiber
My mom took me to lunch today at Tea on the Tiber to celebrate my birthday today. The hostess was charming and told made sure to wish me a Happy birthday as she lead my mother and me to our table. She spend a few minutes explaining the menu to us and the very large selection of teas. After she left my mother and I were able to admire the beauty of the room we were in and I even took a few minutes to peek into the other two rooms that shared the second floor with us. Each room was picture perfect, but also very inviting. Our waitress arrived shortly and was just as friendly as could be. She returned in no time with our teas, mine was the Latte de Chai which they were happy to ice for me. it was scrumptous! The food arrived soon after with the food caddy and I was so charmed to see a birthday candle in a slice of cake for me! Everything was so yummy, but it was the scones that were my favorite. I could eat those with the lemon curd all day. Although I was so full by the time I reached the dessert course, I couldn't bear the thought of not eating them. I'm glad i managed because the Cherry Crumble was wonderful. Afternoon tea at Tea on The Tiber was such a wonderful and relaxing way to celebrate my birthday. I can't wait to return the favor and take someone I love to enjoy the experience too!
