I am unsure where Debby has been to tea but she obviously has no concept of what a scone should be. Soft on the inside and warm is how they are served. If you want hard and cruchy go to Starbucks. The breads used for finger sandwiches are typical deli breads. If you want additional hot water all you need to do is ask. I too have been to tearooms around the world and they compare very favorably. The food choices at this restaurant are not typical of most, and are delicious (breakfast lunch or dinner)
