Tea On The Tiber
I recently had a traditional afternoon tea for the first time, and I fear that going to Tea on the Tiber was a mistake! I am worried that Tea on the Tiber has raised my expectations so high that, if I take tea somewhere else, I'll be disappointed! I played it safe and chose the apricot black tea, which was supposed to be a favorite. Fantastic. The food presentation was just right, the surroundings are beautiful. Our server was a real sweetheart too--she had a very warm personality and a nice sense of humor, which given how traditional the place feels, was a pleasant surprise. Of course, she performed her job very well. I would describe the atmosphere as traditional yet comfortable--it felt like a very special place, and I didn't want to leave! Perhaps most importantly, the afternoon I spent with my aunt, cousins, and older sister at Tea on the Tiber has really turned me on to tea (after all, I found my way to teamap.com) and I look forward to visiting tearooms before I finish college in New York City. When I come home, I look forward to visiting Tea on the Tiber again! Thank you so much for a great first-tea experience.
