D's Victorian Teas
Yesterday I was privileged to be able to have my Sarah's baby shower at D's home. Darlene and her husband greeted and welcomed us into their magnificent home wholeheartadly. We had high tea for 21 guests, the tables were amazing, the food was delicious, each course was served in a timely beautiful arrangement. Everything that wasn't eaten she packed goodie bags for each guest. I felt like I had known the two of them my whole life. They were so genuine and lovely. My Sarah had lived in the house with her family before her Mom passed away, it was the first time she had been back there since, my husband was incredibly touched by Darlene and her husband to show him all around and reminice about the family he grew in their now home. I am so incredibly grateful to the two of them, it was the most special day. I feel I would be remiss if I didn't mention a contradiction to some of the reviews from another party mentioned in these reviews. When I spoke with Darlene to schedule Sarahs party, she immediately told me, there is parking for five vehicles in her driveway, no cars on the street, additional parking was literally two minutes away, so we shuttled people to the home, as we didn't want to cause our most gracious hostess any stress, we arrived on time, as its most important to not be late as once the tea starts, everything is timed, to keep food warm etc., I truly have to say to the folks who wrote bad reviews from another date, Darlene is a delightful woman who goes out of her way to open their home, to serve top of the line teas and food, who takes great pride in doing so. I encourage everyone to give her a call to plan a day or celebration to be treated. We are all planning a trip back asap, much love to you Darlene and your husband.
