I really enjoyed my first visit to Communitea! My friend and I each had an individual pot of tea (I had rose tea, which was delicious). They had a variety of black teas and at least one green tea, but no herbal or decaf. I had a blueberry scone with homemade jam and clotted cream (which was amazing), but their menu also includes sandwiches, salads, and soups. They also serve High Tea with finger sandwiches, scones, etc., but the owner mentioned that she prefers if people mention that they want High Tea when they make reservations. I went on a Saturday afternoon, and probably should have made a reservation because they were busy! The decor is so cozy, and the owner could tell us where most of the tea cups, tea pots, and china came from (most are from her own personal collection). At the end, she offered to take our picture while wearing old hats from her collection too. It was such a fun time!
Thank you Christen! We love walk ins for lunch or tea but do require at least a 24 hour reservation for high tea. We usually do offer at least 3 decaf options. My tea order was delayed because of all the snow and the shutdown in NYC. I look forward to seeing you again.
