Tea Upon Chatsworth
I wish I could say I had a better experience at Tea upon Chatsworth. Overall the experience was dreadful. Most importantly, when you make a reservation PLEASE be aware you are making a non-refundable reservation. This was something I was never told. I made a reservation for four and a member of our party became ill and was unable to attend. When we were seated the server noted our party was one short. They told me that we could split the missing person’s food or we could take it with us but it had already been prepared for us and we would be charged for four people. Not a particularly nice way to begin a tea but we made the best of it. Now having been told that our food had been prepared especially for us we were quiet surprised that it took over 45 minutes for anything to be brought to out table. When I inquired with another server (our server was nowhere to be found) she said our server had been preparing our food and was almost done! Really, what can you say to that? There are many other lovely tea houses in San Diego that make a concerted effort to provide you with a lovely experience. I suggest you try an alternative to Tea upon Chatsworth.
