the bonehead who complained about gluten, like did you call first to ask. They let me sit where I wanted ( why would they care) Maybe there was not a table with enough chairs. Grow up.

I don't know what the person wanted who complained about not being gluten free. It's a TEA ROOM. Of course the food will have gluten. Scones and tea sandwiches have gluten. About not sitting with friends - did you make reservations? This is one of the most lovely little tea rooms. The food is great and the artistry and decor is just lovely. I take friends there all the time.

Horrible place~DO NOT GO HERE. They refused to allow us to sit with our friends. We cannot eat any Gluten and they are not Gluten Free friendly in the least. Wanted to charge us the full $22 each to sit with our friends and just drink tea.

This is one of my favorite Tea Room because the ambiance is excellent, great food & scones, good teas, stunning room. The part I love the most is that each table has it's own set of bone china!!! I fell in love with their beautiful Royal Albert bone China. The neighborhood is nice and quiet, I always feel like I am outside of Los Angeles area when I come here! 5-star Tea Room!!! I brought my friends and they all loved it!

My friends and I always choose this tea house as our favorite. We go to many tea houses and are always most impressed with this one. I'm sorry other people have not enjoyed it. We love these scones the best. We have found them to be very accomadating with special requests. Please give this tea house a try. I think you'll like it....

PS I am not a relative as one person implied in another review.

With a bill total of $121 for tea for a party of four (including 1 child) I would expect the restaurant to be willing to use new tea bags for a requested second pot of tea. We were told we needed to reuse our original bags. Tea bags only cost about 50¢ a piece, retail, so for $1.50 they lost ALL the future business of three people (we each normally go to tea at least twice a month) AND a BAD review on teamap.com.

Overall, though the place was lovely and the food was tasty--but TINY--the experience was a BIG disappointment and I have no interest in ever going back. (This is consistent with the once a year I have frequented this restaurant hoping, in vain, for a better experience. Never again.)

as a side note--there was no comment made about the 6-year-old with us who is also well verse with proper tea etiquette. Though I would definitely NOT recommend this tea house considering all my experiences with them.

Why is this Tea House listed twice? And with better ratings on one of the pages??? Review BOTH listings and you will see the disappointment overall. I hope they will read the reviews and strive to improve their tea house.

To begin: The menu was less than impressive and way over priced. For a green salad and tea the price is $17.50. Unless the greens were organic (which I'm sure they weren't) I still wouldn't of paid so much for a pot of tea and salad.

The atmosphere was calm and very english in its style. However, the service was less than what everyone else spoke of. Rosa wasn't very warm . She greeting was luke-warm and aside from asking us what we would like to order, that is all she said.

This was my 5th tea house in the area, and sadly the worst one I've been too.

Based on selection, quality, and pricing...my overall grade is a C.

A friend and I met for Afternoon Tea here on a weekday. It was a relaxing and quiet teatime. The owner, Rosa, is very kind and helpful. The food was fresh and nicely presented with flowers on the serving tray. The tea service was attentive and polite. It would be a lovely place for a group/special occasion.

After visiting literally hundreds of tea rooms this one remains one of my all time favorites. The presentation is nothing less than gorgeous and the decor sheer understated elegance. The only thing to surpass the food and ambience is the incredible graciousness and down to earth warmth of Rosa, the owner. I get sincere warm fuzzies every time I talk to her. Her entire staff are equally friendly and respectful and I look forward to every excuse I get to steal away for a few perfect hours at the Four Seasons Tea Room

Okay, we gave it another try. We gave ourselves some time away and went to a number of other tea houses both in the area and in other counties, but still this tea house is a disapointment. It just seems as if this lady can only handle what she did in advance and then once the show starts she cannot deal with anything beyond that. Bland sandwiches, minuscle dessert, store bought items. Visit other tea houses such as Frill's, Elises, and Barbara's in Rancho Cucamonga.

We visited The Four Seasons Tea Room for the first time on May 12th, the day before Mother's day. Naturally, they were very busy. I am very pleased to say that the hostess noticed that our 87 year old guest of honor would have trouble hearing our conversation in the main dining room and she very kindly offered to set a table for us on their beautiful quiet patio. It made all the difference in the world and our guest of honor felt like she was being treated like a queen. The food was scrumptious and beautifully presented, a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. Excellent scones! The owner and her staff were delightful and attentive and made our visit special. A lovely tea experience.

A friend and I enjoyed an afternoon tea here in 1/07. I was especially impressed by the delicious sandwich offerings. Very gourmet flavors and a lovely presentation with edible flowers adoring the plate. The sandwiches were so good, I ordered a second plate! The service was terrific, too, and we didn't feel rushed to leave at all. I hope to go back!

I've been visiting this tearoom for many years. But I must say that my last visit was memorable for the wrong reasons. We were barely greeted when we walked in (the place was empty) and the server barely took care of us. After being seated and given about a minute to look over the menu, she asked us if we 'knew what we wanted,' took our order and left. She never bothered to serve the tea, she just left the pot on the table. She would occasionally refill the pot, but never let the tea brew properly. The tea selections were lacking at best. The sandwiches were plopped down on the table and weren't explained to us. All in all, the food was decent. The scones were the best part of the meal. Definitely not worth the $22 price tag. So sad that a once charming tearoom has lost its special touch.

I took my wife and daughter there for Mother's day, service was very poor. The place was packed, they obviously didn't have enough servers. Server was inattentive and non-interactive, we did not get any kind of greeting when we arrived. Food was average at best and the 'famous' scones were slightly above average. We got our desert very late and a few minutes later we were told to leave because they had to prepare for the next sitting.

This tearoom is in a converted bungalow which gives it a 'homey' feel. However, the lack of variety is disappointing and the food is not good enough to justify the price. The scones, when served fresh from the oven, are very tasty. Despite enjoying the scones, I have not been back since. There are other tearooms that give you more value for the dollar.

I've been to this tea room several times before, but this time was very disappointing. Food and tea were wonderful...service was HORRIBLE! I felt like our table was an after thought to the young girl seving us. I will probably never go back again. People in the food service industry should realize that while its just another day at work for them, it may be a very special outing for the people that they are serving. I also didn't appreciate being seated right outside of a bathroom doorway, the light switch was on the wall at our table, so everytime someone used the restroom I had to move my head out of the way so that they could turn the light on and off. Tacky.

Let me point out first that my only visit to this place was roughly a year ago. I was no impressed. I don't attempt to be bothered by tea rooms that serve flavored teas, but I am bothered by a tea room that only has one flavor of tea to serve. According to them, it was a house blend Darjeeling. To me, it was tasteless. The scones were plain and small. Contents of the sandwiches were not at all explained. The server simply plopped them down in front of us and left. The best part about the meal were the deserts. Although most of them were too rich to eat at once, a couple of them were too darn sweet! The menu did have variety, but not enough to make me want to come back. Oh, the server spilled tea on our table twice. And I don't mean a few drops, I mean she spilled about half a tea cup each time!

The location was very quaint and the atmosphere pleasant. It's a bungalow converted to two tea rooms and a patio outside. We went right after Christmas, so there was a nice tree up with Christmas decorations and the ambiance was nice, like being inside someone's home. The food was very good, the homemade scones were delicious and fresh from the oven. The service was a bit slow. They appeared to need more staff. All in all a nice place I would recommend.

I recently visited 'The Four Seasons Tea Room' with friends and had a very lovely time. The ambiance was warm, very condusive to conversations with friends. It was refreshing to be seated at lovely antique tables and comfortable chairs without having to meander through many displays cluttered with items to purchase. I enjoyed looking out the lace curtained window to climbing vines with lovely flowers. The tea presentation was well done and the food was delicious. I enjoyed the scones and cream and jam. I am not concerned with whether or not authentic Devonshire cream is served. However, it would be nice if the proprietor would consider serving a variety of teas. I felt the service was cordial and attentive. I look forward to a return visit.

this tearoom is one of the very few that is inside of a beautiful home. the decor is elegant and simple, not overdone. the afternoon tea set is wonderful with such an array of various tea sandwiches. the best part of it all is their one-of-a-kind homemade scone with cream and raspberry preserves. if you are in the mood for a salad, they serve one with their house vinaigrette which is one of the best i've had anywhere! to make the experience even more wonderful is the owner who brings feelings of warmth and comfort to her guests. i highly recommend this tearoom for any occasion - a spot of tea for you and a friend or for a shower or birthday celebration!

Our Red Hat group visited this tea house which is very attractively decorated, but the service was very lacking. We were not aware that they only served one type of tea (it tasted plain like Lipton), the server did not explain sandwiches (whihc were skippy on filling) but were presented lovely on the tray with edible flowers & garish. The plain scones were excellent, however for this price we expected real devonshire cream, not whipped cream. The desserts were yummy, but out of 3, 2 were lemon. We all enjoyed the atmosphere, but for the price $20, we expected more. Also we did not appreciate them adding $5 for tip/tax, service was not worth it!

We have enjoyed going to this tea room for over four years. Their scones are the best we have ever tasted and we usually take some home for tea at home. We have had tea gatherings at home for some groups we belong to and Four Seasons scones are a must. We just visited there last week. It is definitely a TEA ROOM and not all cluttered with 'gifts' to buy. Another tea room that is excellent is Garden Escape in Claremont & Enchanted Rose - San Dimas. Sweet Divas left a lot to be desired. Sorry. Critquing Tea Rooms is a hobby of my daughter and I. Tea and Tea Cups Excellent but dark.

Thank you for this opportunity to expound. Be Beautiful - Love one another, Love and beaty are one. Helen B.

I have been to other tea rooms before, as I am a fan of fine tea, but the Four Seasons was far superior than the rest. The hospitality was excellent. We were greeted upon entering, and the staff was very attentive. Our tea pot never went empty. The food presentation was some of the best I've have ever seen. You could tell the fine and delicate care that goes into their platters. The edible flowers are a nice touch. The price is less than other tea rooms and the amount of food was just right. I loved thee scones and the green apple sandwiches w/ goat cheese. Excellent. Highly recommended.

I was extremely disappointed in the tea we had in March 2005. Everything was superb under the previous owners. Now there are only 2 kinds of tea, sandwiches and desserts were not very good, service poor, scones ok but plain. All in all this was a very disappointing experience after the wonderful times we have had there before. I would not go again.
