Tea On The Tiber
My visits to the Tea Room have always been the most fun, pleasurable experiences. My family and I go about once a month. The food is so satisfying. I cannot express how happy I am with the change of clotted cream. It fits perfectly to my American sweet tooth and I absolutely love it. The service was excellent. I did not feel rushed; they were just trying to be helpful. Speaking of service, the hostess was absolutely the sweetest. The second I talked to her on the phone, I felt that my needs were catered too. I was worried at first because I am a strict vegetarian; they substituted sandwiches. The design of the tea room amazed me. We were welcomed to take a tour of the place, and the rooms are so beautiful. From the intricate design of the plates, to the glimmering chandelier in the parlor, we felt as if we were on a get-away. As for fishing out an infuser bag in the tea pot, I never had this issue, since I am careful not to let it fall in. I don’t see how else a pot of tea could be infused other than using an infuser bag. We most look forward to the ever changing menu, which many restaurants do not do. Whenever I visit, it is packed like every other place I go to. So, of course, I expected there would be other people talking. But it was not in any way cramped. As for offering seconds for free... I have never been to any restaurant ( no matter how expensive) which offered seconds for free. That’s just funny. I recommend that you try this place for yourself. I think the entire experience was lovely. And I am not alone, due to the many good comments.
