  • Victorene's Tea

First to address the house is lovely and to my knowledge the restoration was quite extensive. Although, just because one has a huge lovely old home in period style does not qualify them to call it a Tea Room/ Tea House. I was dissapointed with the knowledge of the owners/server of tea and HIGHLY dissatisfied with the menu. I would NOT recommend stating on the menu a variety of chocolates when one is served a single ferrero rocher. I mean really, one chocolate does not constitute as stating a variety of chocolates. Nor would I ever serve a scone cut as a biscuit; in half. That was ghastly. There are however finer points to the so-called 'teahouse'; Chris is lovely and the home is lovely. I mean honestly mispronouncing names 'Rose Butt tiker' Come on, that was a disaster. And to pay Thirty dollars for four cups of tea, a scone, a small plate of lettuce and ferrerro rocher makes me laugh. Has this proprietor ever been to a tea before? I would suggest visiting other venues before calling 'Victorene's' a tearoom. PLEASE~ Yet, this Titanic Tea sank with the ship!
