Sweet Afton Tea Room and Restaurant
I was very disappointed. This tea room is conveniently located and i had hoped to have my bridal shower here. I called ahead, and the girl on the phone said they closed at 5 and stopped serving at 4. We drove like crazy and got there 2 minutes to 4(on a cell phone clock ACCURATE). The owner took her time to stroll over to us and say 'i'm sorry we can't serve you, we are closed.' i said please, i am planning my shower, and this is the only time we can both come together. She then said 'this is a hard business, and we want to be WALKING OUT THE DOOR at 5'. ican't believe i stayed long enough to give her my money and business. The waitress almost told us 'NO' we can't share our afternoon tea. no cozies, sam's club quiches. Oh yeah, and we were out by 4:45! Anyone ever watch Pretty Woman? Remember when she goes to the ritzy store and they wouldn't help her? then she goes back in with all her shopping bags, and says 'remember when you wouldn't help me? BIG mistake'and walks out. That is what i want to do with my shower receipt from wherever i decide to have it!
