The English Rose Tea Room and Gifts
While in San Francisco this weekend I drove out to this Tea House, I agree with Ashley 08/30/09 I was also surprised at the rating, it was just average thus my rating, glass table tops and the atmosphere is just mediocre. The table next to us (which could have been part of our group as it was so close to us) told us all the church cronies come. I was very disappointed and could have had a nicer Tea at one of the hotels in the city where we stayed. Not worth the effort we put into driving the distance.

Vintage Tea Leaf
The owner Beverly didn't like the tea we ordered and let us know, there was no service, the food not very tasty and we couldn't even get our tea refilled. Terrible!

High Tea Cottage
Yesterday we went to the High Tea Cottage for the last of their Spring Concert Series, it was absolutely wonderful. The pianist Steve Hall is extremely talented and played many of my favorite tunes and his son Daniel a most accomplished pianist aged just 16 did a recital by Chopin. What a talent at 16! On arrival we were greeted with beautiful appetizers both hot and cold, lavender lemonade and cider and after the concert we were seated for a formal High Tea. An absolutely delightful afternoon was had by all. The food excellent as usual,very tasty sandwiches, the chicken being my favorite, lashings of cream, jams and scones lots of hot tea with wonderful service by Jenn and Will. Thank you for a superb Sunday afternoon.
