Tea's Me
Pros: Artistry of food presentation. Each item had a little something to help it standout, it tasted as good as it looked. The tea smelled wonderful and tasted even better. The staff was very friendly and it was wonderful of the owner to take some time to chat with us. Cons: Although Sleighbells of Sherwood is very charming store the set-up of the tea room leaves much to be desired. The layout is awkward with blank partition like walls and dividers as well as the straight alignment of the tables. It is also unpleasant to constantly have carts of dirty dishes being pushed down the main isle in the middle of tea. Defiantly would visit again, if we are in the area.

The Tea Party
During a weekend trip to the coast we drove over an hour out of our way to experience tea at The Tea Party. We arranged our schedule to arrive well before their posted closing time of 5 pm. We arrived at 3:30 pm. As we waited for service I notice a party having tea in the tea room. Shortly thereafter to our great disappointment, the proprietress bluntly informed us that the tea room was closed for the day. It is highly unusual for a tea room to close just as high tea is traditionally served. This is the third time we have given this tea room a chance to improve their service and food. The first two disappointing visits were forgiven as the tea room had just recently reopened after the wonderful Tea and Tomes (formerly in the same location) closed. However, after this most disappointing visit, I doubt we will be back again. We will visit the dependable and wonderful Lovejoy’s tea room in Florence.
