When I walked in I thought Wow this is a really pretty place, I loved the little store in front and they have a wide variety of things as well as a bakery. After looking around we went to the back where there is a sign that says please wait to be seated, I waited and I waited and watched as the host and hostesses passed us by without saying anything, then finally we were seated. Then, again we were sitting for quit sometime before being asked if we were ready to order. Once our hostess came she was pleasant, lovely accent, she never offered her name. The menu is wonderful no changes allowed, which is fine. The salad was divine, the tuna was the best I ever had, and the other sandwiches were borderline. The desserts were just ok, I really expected better in the desserts. The tea selection was just ok as well. Overall the best part was the champagne.
O my goodness!! I have been traveling around town with my bestfriend to all the different tea houses and it seems that CHADO is a show stopper. The Urban atmosphere incorporates something for every type of tea lover. The food is wonderful and filling. Lastly, the tea, the tea, the tea...If you dont get it, you will just have to go and taste for yourself.
The atmosphere was wonderful!!! There was ample space between tables, not so cramped like most tea houses I visit. Unfortunately the food was not what I expected. I really enjoyed the service. The tea was awesome.
My bestfriend and I enjoyed afternoon tea at Elisa's and we had a wonderful time the ambiance was just right for tea with a dear friend.
